Purpose of the project

The project combines a practical calculator with explanations of V1, VR, V2, FLEX temperature, takeoff trim, runway slope and wind components. Its goal is to make simulator performance planning easier to understand without requiring installation or an account.

The interface is inspired by Airbus EFB and MCDU workflows but is not affiliated with or endorsed by Airbus, Microsoft, Laminar Research or any aircraft add-on developer.

How estimates are produced

Each supported aircraft has a simulator-oriented performance profile with weight ranges and baseline speed data. The calculation interpolates from that profile and applies corrections for CG, flap configuration, pressure altitude, temperature, wind and aircraft systems.

Runway length, takeoff shift, condition and uphill slope influence the available FLEX margin and warnings. The model deliberately avoids presenting itself as certified runway analysis.

Supported aircraft and platforms

Profiles currently include the A220-100, A220-300, A319-132, A320-214, A320-251N, A321-211, A330-243 and A330-343. The web interface can be used alongside MSFS, X-Plane and other simulators when the selected profile reasonably matches the simulated aircraft.

Data sources and privacy

Airport and runway lookup uses data derived from OurAirports. Weather lookup retrieves public aviation weather through the application backend. Cookie consent, analytics and advertising may be used to operate and understand the site; their availability depends on the visitor’s consent choices.

About the author

The calculator was created and is maintained by Krešimir Bernardić, an independent developer based in Croatia. The project brings together an interest in software development, aviation and flight simulation, with a focus on making takeoff-performance concepts easier to explore and understand.

Safety limitation

Every result is an estimate for entertainment and education. The application does not contain certified aircraft, runway, obstacle or operator performance data and must never be used to plan or conduct a real flight.

Feedback is most useful when it includes aircraft add-on, simulator, input values and the result being compared.
